Written by Jack Overduin

- ... totalitarianism did not become extinct with the demise the ... Nazis ....

The author was a very unlikely resistance leader: a gentle preacher, more known for his evangelistic zeal and the key personality in a battle of wills with the WWII-times Nazi collaborating Dutch Department of Education, in what became known as the ‘School Conflict’, essentially 'a spiritual war under the radar of the big war'. The officials at the Ministry of Education sought to control the hiring of Christian school principals and so fill any vacancies with Nazi sympathizers. The Rev. Overduin did not yield, showing himself to be a man of strong Christian faith and principles.

In his story he tells of how the Nazis arrested him, and eventually sent him off to the notorious concentration camp Dachau. It was there that he and other pastors, including the well-known R.C. priest Titus Brandsma, continued their resistance against the Nazi ideals.

Hardcover with jacket, 250 pages, Illustrated with pen drawings of life in the camps. Retail value Ca$19.95
