Essentially, a review of the debate over the theological concept and its consequences of Common Grace that took up many columns in Reformed church periodicals in The Netherlands and the USA, now a century ago. To settle the controversy, the 1924 Synod of the Christian Reformed Church issued a declaration which is known as the "Three Points of 1924". Thirty years later, in 1954, the author was awarded a doctorate for his research and study of the matter by the Free University of Amsterdam.
