Written by Rev. W.W.J. Van Oene

A practical guide to the use of the Church Order of Dort, as adopted by the Canadian / American Reformed Churches. Widely quoted as a reference source in orthodox Reformed churches.

The title of the book reflects the character of the Church Order and is not, as other church groups may see their rules, a "Constitution and Bylaws" but a document that contains the conditions the CanRC/ARC have adopted for their living together in one church federation.

These 'autonomous' churches have neither surrendered nor transferred any of their God-given authority to anyone. Their basis is the unity of faith, as confessed in the historic, ecumenical creeds and 'the three forms of unity', the Belgic Confession, the Heidelberg Catechism and the Canons of Dort.

Paperback, 389 pages, index of subjects, appendixes covering Regulations for the Election of Office Bearers, Letters of Call, Form of Subscription, Credentials (for those delegated to broader assemblies).
